Day 1: Yangon
Upon morning arrival in YANGON International Airport, you will be welcomed by your Mai Hsoong tour guide and transferred to your hotel for check in. City tour began with the through Yangon’s colonial-style city center. Visit to the SULE PAGODA, dating back over 2,000 years ago. Lunch at local Restaurant with your own account. After lunch, the magnificent reclining Buddha at CHAUK HTAT GYI, and after a photo stop at the KARAWEIK HALL, a ‘hamsa-bird-shaped’ floating barge on Kandawgyi (Royal) Lake. Visit to the KABA AYE (WORLD PEACE) PAGODA and the MAHAPASANA CAVE, built for memorial of the 1954-56 the sixth Buddhist synod took place. Complete your YANGON impressions with an extended visit to one of the world’s most spectacular monuments, the SHWEDAGON PAGODA. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Yangon.
Day - 2 Yangon - Mandalay
After breakfast, transfer to Airport for Domestic flight to MANDALAY.Upon arrive to MANDALAY airport, transfer to hotel for check in. Excursion start with one of the most well-known shrines in MYANMAR which houses the most venerated Buddha images of all in the Buddhist world known as MAHAMUNI or PAYAGI, which means “Great Sage”. Your exploration of the guilds will begin with that of the stone carvers, where you will witness the stone-carvers carving out of marbles all sorts of statues, proceeding to another of the embroiderers so deftly working and producing intricate tapestries. Moving on by bus you will observe another mindboggling process of gold-leaf making employing the same methods as their forefathers did centuries ago pounding the 24-carret gold with heavy hammers for hours until the gold becomes incredibly thin foils ready to be offered to innumerable Buddhist and pagodas in the country.
After lunch continue to GOLDEN PALACE MONESTRY noted for its fabulously ornate wood-carvings adorning the whole of the monastery inside and outside, and a short walk from there will take us past another imposing monastery to KUTHODAW PAGODA nick-named the biggest book of the world referring to 729 pages of marble slabs. After the usual ambulatory round of its central stupa, you will leave to go up the MANDALAY HILL for its famous sunset and its unrivalled panoramic views of the city at its base. Dinner and overnight at Mandalay.
Day - 3 Mandalay - Pindaya - Inle
After breakfast, transfer to airport for domestic flight to HEHO. Upon arrival to HEHO airport, proceed by road to PINDAYA (59 km – 2 hours) and visit to PINDAYA CAVES, a unique site housing thousands of Buddha images placed there by pilgrims over the centuries. After lunch at local restaurant, drive to NYAUNG SHWE (90 km – 2 ½ hours) and transfer to your hotel on INLE LAKE. Dinner and overnight at Inle Lake.
Day - 4 Inle Lake
After breakfast, a full day excursion by boat on Inle Lake will include sights of the famous leg rowers, typical floating gardens, local methods of fishing, village life and magnificent scenery. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant on the lake itself. Visits are made to PHAUNGDAW OO PAGODA, the weaving village of INPAWKHON and to one of the local markets in the Inle Lake region (Remark: on market days only).After Lunch, aboard a boat to the Western Shore of Inle Lake, where you will find the beginning of a stair path leading to the well hidden INN THEIN PAGODA complex. Dinner and overnight at Inle Lake.
Day - 5 Inle Lake - Heho - Yangon - Departure
After breakfast, you have time at your leisure until transfer to the Heho airport.
Take the flight from HEHO to YANGON. Upon arrival in YANGON, visit SULE PAGODA, dating back over 2,000 years ago and stroll through the BOGYOKE (SCOTTS) MARKET with hundreds of food, local clothes, handicrafts and gems stores (closed on Public Holidays and Mondays) and transfer to YANGON airport for International departure.
