Day 1: Yangon


Upon morning arrival in YANGON International Airport, you will be welcomed by  your Mai Hsoong tour guide and transferred to your hotel for check in. City tour began with the through Yangon’s colonial-style city center. Visit to the SULE PAGODA, dating back over 2,000 years ago. Lunch at local Restaurant with your own account. After lunch, the magnificent reclining Buddha at CHAUK HTAT GYI, and after a photo stop at the KARAWEIK HALL, a ‘hamsa-bird-shaped’ floating barge on Kandawgyi (Royal) Lake. Visit to the KABA AYE (WORLD PEACE) PAGODA and the MAHAPASANA CAVE, built for memorial of the 1954-56 the sixth Buddhist synod took place. Complete your YANGON impressions with an extended visit to one of the world’s most spectacular monuments, the SHWEDAGON PAGODA. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Yangon.

Day - 2 Yangon - Bagan


After breakfast, transferred to YANGON Airport for domestic Flight to BAGAN. Upon arrival in BAGAN, Straightaway you start the sightseeing tour ancient city beginning with the colorful local market at NYAUNG U to observe the local life’s and colors. Then continue to visit the most significant pagodas and temples of BAGAN start with glittering SHWEZIGON PAGODA, built by King ANAWRAHTA in the early 11th century as a religious shrine next BU LEI THEE PAGODA, noted for its panoramic view of the area’s numerous monuments and visit GUBYAUKGYI (Myinkabar), built in 1113 by King KYANSITTHA’s son, RAJAKUMAR and famous for its well-preserved stuccos on the outside walls and magnificent murals on the walls inside under the protection of UNESCO. A unique in style décor sandstone monument that said have been the palace of King MANUHA who had his own temple erected nearby, known as MANUHA temple. Lunch at local restaurant on your own account.

In the afternoon, visit the manufacturing Myanmar most treasured handicrafts and sit a lacquer ware craftsmen’s workshop nearby MYINKABA village. Follow by the ANDANDA temple, noted for its perfect architectural plan, myriads of sculptures in niches around the walls inside as well as four gigantic standing Buddha images. After a good tour of this fascinating temple complete the day by watching sunset over the beautiful AYEYARWADDY river from the temple top. Dinner and overnight at hotel in BAGAN.

Day - 3 Bagan - Mandalay (Ava - Amarapura - Mandalay)

beauty-myanmar-03After breakfast, transfer to BAGAN Airport for domestic flight to MANDALAY. Upon arrive to MANDALAY airport start the tour with “royal capital” AVA also known as Innwa, Ava was a royal city for centuries. Start to visit a 150-year old monastery still in use, called BARGAYAR MONESTRY. It is one of the oldest teak monasteries in Myanmar and provides a superb example of traditional monastic structures from the olden days. From there you continue with your “interesting” ride to visit NANMYINT WATCH TOWER, one of the few remaining structures of the old palace albeit in ruined state. Continuing the tour from there, we will reach another remnant of the old royal capital of Ava in the form of a huge monastery “MAHA AUNG MYAY BON ZAN” built of bricks but still following the traditional wooden architectural style. Lunch at local restaurant on your own account.

After lunch you will continue to AMARAPURA, the first of the three old capitals. You should reach here in time to observe a very impressive procession of hundres of Buddhist monks at MAHAGANDAYONE MONASTERY, one of the largest monastic institutions in Myanmar. Next proceed to a renowned that SILK WEAVING HOUSE producing highly prized and elaborate traditional silk “longyis” .To enjoy the romantic atmosphere on or by the U BEIN BRIDGE, reputed to be the longest teakwood span in the world, built in 1847 with teak logs and planks dismantled from Ava Palace,  which was changed to AMARAPURA that year. After the sun sets in salute for your overwhelming day, you will return to MANDALAY and headed to your hotel. Dinner and overnight at hotel in MANDALAY.

Day - 4 Mandalay (Mingun - Mandalay)

beauty-myanmar-04After breakfast, drive to the previous capital of Myanmar (MINGUN) and proceed for a boat trip on the AYEYARWADDY River to MINGUN, about 11 km (1 hour) upriver from MANDALAY. Visit one of the world’s largest bells, the 90 tons weighing MINGUN BELL, HSINBYUME PAYA and the unfinished MINGUNPAYA, which was meant to become the largest stupa in Myanmar constructed by King BODAW PAYA. Return to MANDALAY. Have your lunch at local restaurant.

After Lunch, one of the most well-known shrines in MYANMAR which houses the most venerated Buddha images of all in the Buddhist world known as MAHAMUNI or PAYAGYI, which means “Great Sage”. Continue to GOLDEN PALACE Monastery noted for its fabulously ornate wood-carvings adorning the whole of the monastery inside and outside, and a short walk from there will take us past another imposing monastery to KUTHODAW Pagoda nick-named the biggest book of the world referring to 729 pages of marble slabs. After the usual ambulatory round of its central stupa, you will leave to go up the MANDALAY HILL for its famous sunset and its unrivaled panoramic views of the city at its base. Dinner and overnight at hotel in MANDALAY.

Day - 5 Mandalay – Yangon

After breakfast transfer to MANDALAY Airport and flight back to YANGON. Upon arrive to YANGON airport stroll through the BOGYOKE (SCOTTS) Market with hundreds of food, Local clothes, handicrafts and gems stores. (Closed on Public Holidays and Mondays). Car and guide at disposal until international flight departure.
