Day 1: Mandalay
Morning upon arrive in MANDALAY airport, you will be welcomed by your Mai Hsoong guide and transferred to hotel. Lunch is on your own account.
Leave from your hotel and bike along the Moat Road south of the former Royal Palace. Cross through the heart of MANDALAY city to ZAYCHO MARKET with hundreds of food and clothes stores. Continue to bike until you reach the Strand Road. Observe the busy life along the AYEYARWADDY River with its various ports and merchant activities. Bike through the north-western quarters of MANDALAY to the northern Moat Road and visit the famous SHWE INBIN TEAK MONASTERY; the GOLDEN PALACE MONASTERY, a superb example of a traditional wooden building and KUTHODAW PAGODA the world’s largest book, made of marble. Return to hotel by bike. Dinner and overnight at hotel in MANDALAY. After dinner visit to the puppet show theatre.

Day - 2 Mandalay - Bike to AVA
After breakfast, transfer to a traditional MANDALAY neighborhood to participate in “SOON” offering.
“SOON” offering is practiced throughout the country when monks line up along to streets to receive food donations from local people. Return to hotel for breakfast. Before becoming a monk one has to visit a MONK ACCESSORY SHOP as 8 items are needed before joining a monastery.Continue to a MONASTERY where you will observe the educational as well as religious side of monk hood and see how the monks eat the last meal of the day in total silence.
After lunch at local restaurant, leave MANDALAY by bike on small lanes along the river banks through rural villages to the jetty near the former royal capital of AVA (INNWA). Cross the river by ferry boat and visit Ava on bike or by horse carriage. Visit NANMYINT WATCH TOWER which is the remains of the palace building nicknamed “the leaning tower of AVA“, MAHA AUNGMYE BONZAN MONASTERY that was built of brick and stucco, BARGAYAR MONASTERY that is famous for its impressive ornate woodcarvings and teak posts. Return to MANDALAY by bike or car. Dinner and overnight at hotel in MANDALAY.

After breakfast, transfer to the airport or jetty for your onward connection.
